Let us share where it all began.

Macedonian immigrant, Manny Rusitovski, arrived on our shores in 1970 and brought with him a determination to succeed in his new country. He spent time exploring the local scene and realised there was an opportunity to set up shop in the back of a truck and sell directly to customers at locations not already catered to from nearby shops.He knew what he had to do and engaged his son, Frank, to help him fit out their first food truck in their backyard. Manny could already make a terrific doughnut and he decided that if he could serve hot, fresh doughnuts alongside ice cream from the back of his truck, it could be a real winner amongst his new compatriots. This honest, humble and hardworking man realised immediate success with his hot, jam-filled doughnuts and servings of ice cream, to various locations around Melbourne. Manny soon noticed more and more trucks being built and joining him on the streets serving various food options, as well as entertainers who would busk alongside them. He was always available to give information and advice as he realised that more trucks would only help his business and that collaboration was key to their future success.However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. At the time, it was illegal to stop on the side of the road to serve food, and this is when rebellious son Frank acted as the eyes and ears for many food trucks and he would let everyone know when an inspector was coming. Frank earned their respect over the years and, in turn, was always offered as much food as he wanted. Today, Manny’s serves up an array of traditional desserts including hot jam doughnuts, Nutella and vanilla churros as well as delicious apple fries.

Manny’s doughnuts is now trading from various locations in melbourne, offering delivery to over 90 suburbs from geelong all the way to narre warren.
